Welcome to Kyvento: quick-start guide
Overview
This guide takes you from sign-up to a ready-to-use Kyvento account in just a few minutes. You'll learn how to register, work through the setup wizard and create your first data.
Step 1: Register
Open app.kyvento.com/register and fill in the registration form:
- Company name and country
- First name and last name
- Email — we'll send the confirmation email to this address
- Password — at least 12 characters
After submitting, you'll see the message "Registration successful!" and receive an email with a confirmation link.
Step 2: Confirm your email address
Click the link in the confirmation email. You can't log in until your email address is confirmed. Didn't receive an email? Check your spam folder or request a new one via "Resend confirmation email".
Step 3: Work through the setup wizard
The first time you log in, the "Welcome to Kyvento" wizard greets you. It guides you through five steps:
- Company details — company name, address, VAT ID and tax status (standard taxation, the small-business regulation under Section 19 of the German VAT Act, or not liable for VAT)
- Settings — default currency, default tax rate, plus language and region
- Choose a plan — start "In trial mode" with no obligation (14 days) or pick a plan straight away
- Payment method — only required if you book a plan straight away
- Summary — review your details and complete the setup
You can leave the wizard at any time via "Set up later" and resume it from the notice banner on the dashboard.
Step 4: Get to know the dashboard
After setup you land on the dashboard — your overview of the most important metrics:
- MRR — your monthly recurring revenue
- Active subscriptions and churn rate
- Open invoices — each with a trend compared to the previous month
- Revenue trend over the last 12 months, including a forecast
- Product distribution, "Latest invoices" and "Newest customers"
Step 5: Create your first data
The recommended order to get started:
- Products — create your plans and services under "Management → Products"
- Customers — add your first customer under "Management → Customers"
- Subscriptions — link a customer and a product into your first subscription under "Management → Subscriptions"
If you want to collect payments automatically, then connect your payment provider under "Settings → Payments".
