Getting started

Creating and setting up your account

Overview

This article shows you how to create your Kyvento account, confirm your email address and configure the most important personal settings — from your profile to sign-in security.

Register an account

Registration takes place at app.kyvento.com/register. The form asks for the following details:

  • Company name — the name of your business as it is used in the account
  • Country — where your business is based
  • First name and last name of the person creating the account
  • Email — your sign-in address, e.g. name@company.com
  • Password and confirm password — at least 12 characters

The person who registers the account automatically becomes the account owner with full rights. Ownership can be transferred later if needed.

Confirm your email address

After registration we'll send you a confirmation email. You can only sign in once you've clicked the confirmation link. Use the "Resend confirmation email" button to request a new email if needed — for security reasons no more than once every two minutes.

First login and setup

After your first login, the setup wizard starts and guides you through company details, basic settings and plan selection. You'll find the details in the "Welcome to Kyvento: quick-start guide".

Adjust your personal profile

You can reach your personal settings via the user area in the sidebar under "My profile". In the "General" tab you manage:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address — you confirm any change via "Change email" using a verification email
  • Automatic sign-out — after which period your session ends
  • UI language — your personal interface language, or the company default

Sign-in & security

In the "Sign-in & security" tab you'll find all security-related settings:

  • Change password — new passwords require at least 12 characters with upper- and lowercase letters, a digit and a special character
  • Two-factor authentication — via "Set up 2FA" you scan a QR code with your authenticator app, confirm with a 6-digit code and receive 10 recovery codes for emergencies
  • Passkeys — via "Add passkey" you can sign in without a password in future, for example using a fingerprint or Face ID
  • Active sessions — see where your account is signed in and end other sessions
  • Transfer ownership — visible only to the account owner

We recommend enabling two-factor authentication right after setup. You'll find a detailed guide under "Enabling two-factor authentication".
