Creating your first plans
Overview
Products are the heart of your subscription business: every plan, every one-off service and every add-on is a product in Kyvento. This article shows you how to create your first plans — in the simplest form, two details are enough.
Create a product
- Open "Products" in the sidebar and click "New product".
- Assign a name and a price (net) — these are the only required fields.
- Click "Save".
Everything else is sensibly pre-filled: type "Subscription", monthly billing, currency EUR, tax category "Standard", pricing model "Flat rate". Kyvento assigns the product number and slug (for checkout links) automatically, but you can also set both yourself.
The three product types
- Subscription — a recurring service with a billing cycle (e.g. monthly or yearly)
- One-off — a single purchase with no renewal
- Add-on — an additional product that customers book on top of a main subscription
Pricing models
In addition to the flat rate, quantity-based models are available: Per unit, Tiered (each price tier applies only to its units) and Volume-based (the tier reached determines the price for the entire quantity). For these models, "Bookable multiple times" is automatically active so that customers can book quantities greater than 1.
A trial for your customers
With "Trial (days)" you offer free trial periods: a payment method is requested during checkout but is not charged during the trial — the first invoice is only created after the trial period ends.
Product status
- Active — bookable and visible in the catalog
- Inactive — no longer newly bookable; existing subscriptions continue unchanged
- Archived — hidden and not bookable
